Who is AAM AADMI?
After the government formation by AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) in
New Delhi, aam aadmi has become a
buzzword in India. Everybody is talking about the new party (both good and bad)
which has created ripples in the political scenario of the country. It’s not
because AAP has scored well in Delhi Assembly elections or has formed a govt.
in their debut, but because it has contested elections in a (fair) way which is
new to Indian Politics (Remember what Sharad Pawar or Nitin Gadkari has
commented about contesting elections within the meagre amount of donation). But
the real question here is who the aam
aadmi of India is, whom every party claims to be its voter. Indian National
Congress, the oldest party of India has the mention of this aam aadmi in its Tagline (Congress ka
haath, aam aadmi ke saath), whereas
Arvind Kejriwal named his party after aam
aadmi.
AAM AADMI (and aurat)
as per translation is the common man or woman of our country, the common man
who doesn’t have any control over the system, but he (she) has to work with the
system to get things done.
AAM AADMI is the college student who doesn’t have any say in
the course syllabus but still he has to struggle for the admission. AAM AADMI
is the parent of a student who doesn’t know the future of the school but has
to spend hours in the queue for nursery admission of his ward. AAM AADMI
is the common man who has to offer some amount of money to the peon/constable/clerk to
get a certificate from any govt. office (RTO, Passport office etc.). AAM AADMI
is the person who bargains with the vegetable vendor for a rupee but won’t mind
offering a ten-rupee tip to the bartender. AAM AADMI is a person who is bothered
about the even a rupee rise in Petrol, LPG or Sugar but doesn’t worry while
reading scams worth 1 lac crores in newspapers.
AAM AADMI decides to vote for BJP to change the economical
situation of the nation so that he/she can get a better job in his native or a
salary hike in the next appraisal. And the same aam
aadmi votes for Congress to get a stable government, when BJP tries to
privatise the govt. companies in which aam
aadmi works.
AAM AADMI can challenge the arrogance of the ruling party by
voting a new party like AAP. But it’s the aam
aadmi only who becomes pessimistic to say AAP the B team of Congress party because there is no faith about politics in his mind. AAM AADMI feels happy
when the three times Chief Minister Sheila Dixit is defeated by Kejriwal in the
capital of India, but aam aadmi also
feels disappointed when Kejriwal doesn’t initiate action against her after
becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. AAM AADMI loves to see Shahrukh Khan
playing a common man in Chennai Express.
At the same time, aam aadmi loves
Salman saying Aam aadmi sota hua sher hai
in his upcoming film Jai Ho.
AAM
AADMI in principle doesn’t believe in hatred of any religion, community or
language but it’s the aam aadmi who
fights for religion, community or language when he feels that he is demoralized
or denied a chance due to these factors.
In my opinion, an aam
aadmi wants is to have enough for
his basic needs-Life, education and career, so that his present generation
lives a peaceful life and future generation doesn’t have to struggle for the
basic needs, which many of the aam aadmi
and aurats are still struggling for,
even after 66 years of the country’s independence.
