‘Sorry to be late guys! Hope you don’t mind’ I said while settling down at Symphony-The Lounge. ‘Of course not! And anyway, we have started, so please don’t mind’ Ajay replied, raising the glass. ‘You know how these guys are…’ Veeru expressed his displeasure signalling at Ajay and Tarun. ‘ I am absolutely okay macha !’ I said and called the waiter for the order. ‘Thanks, Sanju bhai, you know Veeru is a forever complaining soul’ Tarun replied. ‘You know his problem is that he thinks all those who drink are assholes.’ Ajay opined. ‘Hahaha..It’s not his problem, but a universal issue…’ I expressed. ‘Drinkers think that non-drinkers are assholes and vice versa’ ‘Perfect Bhai’ Ajay high-fived me, ‘Only a PhD holder like you can explain it without any hesitation! By the way, Howz your new job going on?’ ‘You guys already know my story, right! ‘Yeah! I mean, we know that you quit that coveted government position after an unwanted transfer and have joined the prestigi...

The Circular Economy and End-of-Life Automobiles: A Sustainable Approach

Image
Note: This article was published in the June edition of the e-magazine FM&CRE World.                                                                                                     ****** At various meetings and conferences about sustainability, we often hear this term -Circular Economy (CE). The circular economy is a sustainable model that seeks to minimize waste by keeping materials and products within the economy as long as possible through practices like recycling and refurbishing. I did not think you were mentioning her.’ I replied and shut my laptop down. ‘What a slap sir,’ I interrupted Before Ronjoy could complete his sentence. ‘But it’s not fair to mock her, not only her but anybody who is physically assaulted.’ ‘I know, but somewhere, an average Indian like me feels that she deserved it. It's her  karma .’ 'Is that because you are a Hrithik fan? I quipped. 'Now you are mocking Sirjee,' ‘Hahaha.’ ‘I think every Indian is against Kangana,’ Irfan expressed with a high five to Ronjoy.  Am...

This article was published in the  3rd edition of FM Globalnet magazine FM&CRE World - April 2024. Last month, I attended a Summit on electric mobility and the keynote speaker was promoting green energy to power EVs for achieving the sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs, adopted by the UN in 2015, are a set of 17 goals aimed at achieving a more sustainable future, including goals on poverty, inequality, clean energy, and climate change These goals act as a blueprint for development of smart city. One of the overarching objectives of the smart city is smart mobility which rely heavily on technology and data collection . Sensors, cameras, and connected devices gather information on traffic flow, parking availability, public transportation usage, and more. Data collection and analysis can help cities identify areas to improve, such as energy use or waste management. And, Smart technologies can then be used to implement solutions, such as smart grids for energy or se...
