Delhi: City of The-rapists???

Ye Dilli hai mere yaar
Yahaan rapists beshumaar
Aur naari ka jeena dushwaar..

This is how an Aam Aadmi (yes that’s the political name for a common man) can describe India’s capital Delhi after a series of Rape cases. There are a series of discussions going on from streets to parliament on what should be the Punishment given to The-rapists. But the politicians are hardly bothered about how to prevent such brutal crimes which are tarnishing the image of Delhi city and our country.  Maybe they are safe amongst the XYZ security that is provided with aam aadmi’s income tax. It’s always said that Prevention is better than cure, but are our Politicians and Police really concerned about preventing such heinous crimes. Or it’s just to pacify the public(or shall I say aam aadmi, Arvind Bhai?) outcry???

We have seen on Reality shows like Crime Patrol, how Police can trap the criminals and sometimes even prevent the crime, if they really wish to. But it depends on the wish or willingness of the police. I don’t want to blame the whole force, but I feel that the nexus between the corrupt politicians and police force doesn’t allow the officers to act against the criminals in time, which gives a fillip to destructive minded individuals to commit crimes. However, it seems that our politicians are still living in silos and taking it as yet another mishap.

Our Sheela Granny (Dixit madam, not the Munni’s rival) comments that a family can be fed with two meals for a month in Rs. 600. I am sure, she must be mentioning her heydays when it would have been possible. I strongly feel that this is the time to firmly demonstrate such Politicians that they can happily retire if they do not want to work in Public interest. Because we do not wish our cities to be called as ‘City of the-rapists’. In fact, we don’t want such gang rapes to take place in any part of our county. I hope all Indians are with me.
