'Chokeslam' over Politics..

Meet Mr. X - A hardworking guy working with a multinational company on his merit.

Also meet, Mr. Y - Another well-groomed talented guy working at a start-up company.

Both X and Y know each other since last 10 years.

The similarity between X and Y is that both of them believes that India should progress and the upcoming years for them should be better than the previous ones.

But the only difference of opinion in X and Y is that X believes that leader M has the capabilities to change the fate of this country. So he follows leader M and his political ideology likes his posts on social media and forwards them in his circle.

Y believes that leader M is not fit for a country like India. He believes in the ideology of leader N. So he follows leader N, likes his posts on social media and forward them in his circle.

Of late, X gets into an argument with Y on social media over who's better among M and N...The argument gets heated and in rage X blocks Y.

Does this situation find similarity with any of your recent experience? With me, it does.

But with such situations, I remember my school days where all my friends were a great fan of WWE (it used to be WWF, then) and each one of us had one of his/her favourite hero in the wrestling ring. I was a huge fan of Undertaker then. And it was just for his 'Chokeslam'. Another friend of mine used to like 'The Rock' for his style. Neither we knew these heroes personally nor we had seen them in reality for once. But we were like gaga over them and used to argue with each other in a similar fashion as most of us argue on social media. But I don't remember breaking our friendships for Undertaker or The Rock.

So now why are people behaving worse than schoolchildren and breaking their relationships over politicians whom they have neither met nor personally known? One must retrospect how much importance one should give to the news/posts/forwards on social media, which the beneficiaries like politicians and media are serving us every day.

I thought I should express and share this as few people also blocked me for my 'Chokeslam' political opinions ðŸ˜Š
